Unfortunately looking after your skin is after all not the easiest of things. Traveling, not eating on time and of course the sun often affects the beautiful covering that we have around us. Often our skin becomes prone to pimples, wrinkles, age-spots, darkening and so on.Here are some great skin care tips.

1.Moisturize:Often those with oily skin get this preconceived notion that they don’t need to moisturize. A moisturizer doesn’t only get rid of dryness, but also hydrates the skin. Therefore it is very important for all skin types. If your skin is extremely oily, you can easily pick an oil free moisturizer.
2.Consume a healthy diet:Often while traveling, junk becomes the only primary diet that we survive on. However what we don’t seem to realize is that junk will not help our body in any way. Various vitamin deficiencies can lead to so many skin problems. Hence always make sure that you consume a good and healthy diet. Keep greasy and unhealthy food at bay. Stick to leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, whole grains, nuts, fish eggs. Replace plain milk with skimmed milk, white rice with brown rice and alcohol with fresh juices.
3.Use a good cleanser:Cleansing is the most important need for good and healthy skin. If you don’t cleanse enough, dirt can easily cling to your pores causing irritation and pimples. So pick a good facial cleanser that suits your skin type and use it daily. If you use makeup, make sure that you use a makeup remover to clean off all the makeup before to go to bed.
4.Avoid the sun:Apart from darkening your skin, the harmful rays of the sun causes skin rash, allergies, wrinkles, age-spots and sometimes even skin cancer. Hence as far as possible, stay away from the sun. If you have to step out in the day, make sure that you use a good sunscreen lotion. Never step out without wearing a sunscreen even in winters.
5.Get adequate sleep:No matter what you do all day, at night make sure that you reunite with your pillow and bed for at least 8 to 10 hours. Absence of adequate sleep will cause your skin to appear tired and dull. It also results in dark circles and ugly bags under your eyes. Hence make sure that you get adequate amount of sleep everyday.
6.Drink lots of water:Just like cleansing from the outside is important, it is also important that you cleanse your skin from the inside. What can be a better way to cleanse your skin than by drinking sufficient quantity of water. Hence, no matter how busy your schedule is, make sure that you intake minimum 8 to 10 glasses of water.
7.Never ignore skin problems:Ignoring skin problems will only cause them to grow worse. Hence the moment you find a skin problem, make sure that you treat it right away. You may not always have the perfect treatment for all skin problems. If you don’t know what to do, visit a dermatologist to seek the most appropriate solution.
8.Give up on bad habits:Bad habits like smoking and drinking can cause the skin to sag and age before time. It may also result in wrinkles and puffy eyes. Hence make sure that you give up these awful habits, if you want to ensure healthy and beautiful skin.
